Note that they do not apply to UC`s Innovative Learning Initiative (ILTE) for online courses within the UC system. We hope to negotiate a separate agreement on the rights of the course creator for this initiative. Coursera also respects the trademark rights of others. Coursera may update, block, disable or terminate accounts containing other content that misleads or violates another`s brand. If you are concerned that someone is using your brand in a hurtful way on our services, please email us at copyright@coursera.org and we will investigate your complaint. If we deem it appropriate, we may remove offensive content, notify the person who posted the content and/or temporarily or permanently block or disable the person`s account. Pilot agreement: One of the objectives of the SCFA in these negotiations was to create a standard contract between the “Course Creator” and the university, which could be used by all, including teachers and doctoral students.
We did not discover a lawyer who was ready to draft such a project, fearing that no contract of this type could protect everyone. The pilot agreement is based on legal advice and our efforts to ensure that it protects the rights of students, whether it is a faculty, professor or student (you may want to see ucbfa.org/2014/05/ideal-online-ip-provisions/).
